Taurus, Chalice, Whip

Persistence is the keyword for Taurus, along with stable and beautiful.

It takes persistence to manifest what we want, including transformation. It takes work.

Look for the beauty, it exists everywhere.

So what's up with Taurus today? Good we hope and not stubborn behavior. Is the Taurus you know staying in the present or dwelling in the painful past?

The Chalice is the card of Holiness. It relates to Spirit. Is it the lost grail cup? Is if full of Spirit? Are we the Grail, the Chalice?

On the mundane, it could refer to a drinking party.

See the drops from the vine filling up the cup? Is it water or wine. Does it matter? Do you see it full or empty? Are you drinking from Spirit? Are you receiving Spiritual Blessings? Even more importantly, are you giving blessings?

Are you filling yourself with 'Loving Kindness (Metta)'? Maybe you should.

The whip is about discipline. Will today take great mental effort if there may be emotional unhappiness or possibly physical difficulties.

What tests us, makes us stronger. We struggle to attain and in so there is a karmic strengthening of character.

Untangle things today. Stay grounded and not reacting to others negative emotions.
Use your strengths developed from discipline.

Today, my homily is based on the reading and it's a little different than the standard meanings.

When I saw the Taurus card, the large star jumped out at me. It reminded me of the Star of Bethlehem and the light of God that Guides us. The Chalice speaks to me as Mother Mary, Christ Jesus, you and me. Spirit which you are comes into the physical body - the Chalice. As above, so below. It's a matter of frequency or vibration. Then we have the Whip that reminds me of a pointer and the tails as the three wise men, all tied together looking at the Star and the light. Our discipline is to follow the light of God that guides our path as it did for the magi and the thousands that came to see the new born Son of God.

Remember that you too are a Child of God, loved and blessed.
