Journey, Candle, Serpent

The journey is the card of progress. It can also indicate an ethical decision is being made. We are emotionally moving forward and mentally reaching for a specific goal.

Change your consciousness and you can change your view. You may see a better path to take.

We are on the long and winding road. It can be a higher road that shortens our trip. Enjoy the journey.

The candle is the symbol of wisdom. Find that wisdom today. "It is better to light one candle than curse the darkness" is a very slight on the less common "Chinese proverb" "'Don't curse the darkness - light a candle." The advice given is "if something is wrong, do something about it rather than complain."

Can we throw some light on the situation today?. Light can help us see more clearly.

Candle light also creates a warm environment.

Note the serpent has doubled back.   Serpent tells us to use care where we step.

Do you see the serpent's tongue testing and sensing. We could emulate this being and be wiser. How much do we sense before acting? The serpent is also connected to the Earth. So are we, yet we ignore our Earth Mother.

Be in the present as you move forward.   Use the power with wisdom.

How is our progress coming?  We may not know so light a candle so we can see better.  One measure is to look at where we started and how far we have come.  You have brought in much light.  The light also shows what is hidden in the darkness.  Look for the serpent and the wisdom gained.  Watch your steps and be alert.
