The gate is shut and barred. What can we do? We can wait for a little better time.
There is purpose in the shut gate. If you can't move forward, might as well enjoy it. Time for some conversation today and quiet time.
It may simply be a matter of time. The gate doesn't stay closed forever. Is there another way around the gate? The blocks may be small. Take them one at a time.
Don't let your size or lack stop you. You can grow.
A second meaning of the Gate is that it is the 'No' card of the deck.

The dog is attentive, listening and focused. The same kind of focus when they are waiting to greet us when we come home. What a great feeling to be greeted by your best friend.
Trust is a great characteristic of the Guardian Dog. Be trustful and attentive. Where do I put my trust? In the Divine!

The Path card is about time and distance. As a short path, it refers to an emotion that does not endure for long. It is pronounced but temporary.
There is a touch of the unconscious, the abode of the Gods. We have allowed the unconscious to come to the conscious. That's what readings are all about.
We are on the short path. We can only see a short distance.
What lies beyond? We have to be in the present to get there.
The gate is closed and barred. No, we hear. We are blocked today. The Guardian Dog sits at attention and listens. There is a protection noted as in the gate keeping us safe. Path tells us that this won't last long. This too shall pass.
You are loved and blessed.
