Candle, Self, Whip

We start Monday with the green candle. Looking at the candle, it has been burning and has more left, therefore there is time available with light. This makes me think of the coming solstice of winter. The days continue to get shorter until the solstice, then get longer each day again.

The Self: when we have the time, we can stop and take a look at where we are and where we are going. We can get a perspective and see the big picture. We can prepare for the holidays, both physically and spiritually.

The whip represents discipline. On a spiritual level, the coming holidays in some cultures and ages have called for following a disciple in preparing for the coming of the Christ. Some people prepare by decorating, some by fasting, some by cooking, some by meditation. What is your discipline? Apply it consistently.
